    The younger sister who has clung to her camcorder ever since Syd has stopped playing with her. On her solemn 8th birthday, she begins creating the monster hunting documentary. Daisy’s film blurs reality with fiction, revealing the truths about her family and the perils of growing up.

  • Screen Age - 14-16 years old

    The older sister who received an injury a few years ago when an intruder had broken into their family home one night while she was sleepwalking. Syd is an artist who draws monstrous images and also takes on a parental role for her younger sister.

  • Screen age - Early 30s

    A single mom who has become a gluttonous hermit. Her abandonment wound and depression cause her to have a recurring cycle of men coming into the family’s life.

  • Screen Age - ageless, timeless

    A stranger who had broken into the Kidders sisters’ house one winter evening.

  • Screen Age - 18-20 years old

    A lanky pizza boy who has no idea what’s going on and just wants his $14.69.

Self-Tape Audition Tips

  • Practice: Rehearse your lines and the scene multiple times before filming.

  • Slate: State your name, age, role, and agency (if applicable).

  • Reader (if applicable): have a reader deliver the other character's lines.

  • Neutral Background and Clothing: Choose a plain, uncluttered background and basic clothing to avoid distractions.

  • Good Lighting and Audio: Ensure your video is well-lit and that the audio is clear and easy to hear.

  • Contact Information: Include your contact information, including your email address and phone number.

  • Keep your video brief and to the point: focusing on the most important aspects of your performance.

  • Most importantly - Be Yourself: Let your personality shine through, but also focus on the character you're auditioning for.
